Kate is an OC from the Marvel Comics canon. As such, there are entities, people and groups that are well known to even the general public. Groups like the Avengers, people like Captain America and entities like the Daily Bugle and SHIELD. This character does not know them personally but some (given that she was a student at Xavier's and grew up in New York City), she has heard of some of them.

Yes for both Draco and Lydia. Neither would complain too much if healed without being asked for explicit permission, though Draco will always be able to find something to fuss about.

Sadly, I think Schism and his ridiculous stunt at the UN summit (and subsequent imprisonment) happened too late for her to have known about.
